Hematological Oncology
The Department of Hematology was the first chemotherapy unit for hematologic oncology in the cancer centers of China. In 2000, specialist professor Yue Lu founded the Department of Hematologic Oncology, now based at Sun Yat-sen University Caner Center's Huangpu Campus. In 2017, Professor Liang Yang was introduced by our center from Yale University as an overseas high-level talent, and since then, the Department of Hematology and oncology has been further and rapidly developed. At present, he has published several high-quality SCI papers in the Journal of leukemia, and orally reported our scientific research results on acute myeloid leukemia at the 2019 American annual meeting of Hematology. Using the advanced international technologies and medical philosophy to our clinical and basic research work, we formed the normalized , individualized and also with international level medical system to diagnose and treat our blood cancer patients, and cured many patients successfully.

Different from other hematology departments in general hospitals, the department is dedicated to conquering blood cancers, especially leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). With the advanced technologies and an excellent medical team in our hospital, we also constantly bring in the new and international advanced technologies providing more advanced, more accurate, more effective individualized treatment regimens for patients.
