Achieving an International Impact of Excellence in 2014: the Chinese Journal of Cancer is awarded with the Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China

We are delighted to announce that the Chinese Journal of Cancer, also known as CJC, sponsored by the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, has been awarded with the Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China, on December 16th, 2014, by the Center for International Evaluation Research of Chinese Academic Literatures in Beijing. On a range of 6,400 Chinese Academic journals in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and science and technology, the academic committee ranked the Chinese Journal of Cancer as the one with the highest number of international citations in 2014, giving it the top place among these journals.

The Chinese Journal of Cancer started its publication in 1982. Publishing original contents in the field of cancer research, the CJC innovates in offering original views, reviews and perspectives in this field. Through the years, the Chinese Journal of Cancer evolved, becoming an international actor in the world of Academic Journals by starting to publish in English from 2010 onwards. It has become a reference in the world of oncology journals that was recognized in 2013 by the Center for International Evaluation Research of Chinese Academic Literatures who granted CJC the 55th rank in its Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China Award. Within a year, CJC rose from 55th to 23rd, showing an increasing impact abroad.

2014 was a year of great achievement; in July, CJC became SCI Indexed(Science Citation Index), recognized internationally as an important journal in the world of oncology, destined for a great future. In September, it obtained the prestigious title of Outstanding S&T Journals of China delivered by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. The consecration happened this December 16th, with the Title of the Highest International Impact Academic Journal of China entitled by the Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation.
