The Hong Kong delegation comprised clinicians, nursing managers, and administrative staff from the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, the oncology departments of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, and United Christian Hospital, as well as Chinese medicine clinics and teaching and research centers in Kwai Tsing District and Kwun Tong District. SYSUCC was represented by Vice President Liu Zhuowei, Zhang Bei, Director of the Integrative Chinese-Western Medicine Research Center, Xia Liangping, Director of the Comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, and other faculty and nursing staff from the department, together with Liao Shuang, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Public Relations.

Vice President Liu Zhuowei extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of SYSUCC. He noted that SYSUCC has long maintained close exchanges with Hong Kong medical professionals and that both sides have achieved remarkable results in clinical services and academic research. He particularly emphasized that Hong Kong colleagues have valuable experience in international medical services that SYSUCC can learn from. He expressed the hope that this exchange would serve as a bridge for further cooperation in oncology diagnosis and treatment, talent training, and academic exchanges, so as to jointly serve the health needs of people in the Greater Bay Area. SYSUCC also briefly introduced the achievements of the Comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine Department in integrative oncology diagnosis and treatment, as well as its coordinated development in clinical service, education, research, and nursing.

During the free discussion session, clinicians, nursing staff, and administrative managers from both sides interacted actively. They exchanged views on specific issues such as clinical implementation pathways for integrative Chinese-Western medicine collaboration in oncology, specialized nursing management, talent training, and service operation management, and held in-depth discussions on the difficulties and experiences in their respective practices. The atmosphere was lively. After the symposium, the Hong Kong delegation visited the traditional Chinese medicine nursing clinic on site to learn about its service processes, technical programs, and patient service models.

This visit built a bridge for in-depth dialogue in the field of integrative Chinese-Western medicine for oncology in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. It further enhanced mutual understanding between the two sides and laid a solid foundation for future talent exchanges, mutual learning of clinical experience, and coordinated disciplinary development, helping to promote the high-quality development of integrative Chinese-Western medicine oncology services in the Greater Bay Area.
