Dr. Zhang Liyuan, is an associate chief technician who engages in ECG diagnosis in the Department of Ultrasound Diagnosis and Interventional Treatment, at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. Originally, she worked at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, SYSU, for the Department of Internal Medicine in 1984 and for the Electrocardiographic Room in 1987. She was promoted as an exceptional technician in charge in 1998 by virtue of her excellent work performances and remarkable scientific research. 

In 1999, as the ECG technical backbone, she was transferred to the Department of Ultrasound Diagnosis and Interventional Treatment at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center to work on ECG technology, strengthen the technical abilities of the Electrocardiographic Room and lead young doctors to improve their skills in ECG diagnosis and abilities in arhythmia diagnosis & differential diagnosis. She has obtained the Medical Practitioner's Qualification Certificate and been devoted to ECG diagnosis all these years. 

In 2011, she became an associate chief technician. Through her 27-year ECG technological profession, she has accumulated abundant work experience, acquired solid theoretical knowledge, been steadily proficient in ECG diagnosis reports, been adept at complex arhythmia diagnosis and differentiation, tackled a variety of difficult problems independently and played a backbone role in the Electrocardiographic Room. During her career, she has published over 30 papers as a lead author in public medical journals and core professional journals and undertaken one program funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project of Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and projects of Guangdong Provincial Department of Health. On April 8, 2011, she attended the 13th South China International Congress of Cardiology and gave a lecture on The Common ECG Expressions of Myocardial Damage of Chemotherapy Drugs.
