Prof. Zhang Bei has been engaged in clinical work on traditional Chinese and western medicine integration for tumor at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since July 1985. She is adept at treating various tumors with traditional Chinese and western medicine and studying the tongue diagnosis of malignant tumors. Especially she performs unique therapies with good curative effects for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, esophagus cancer, liver cancer, large intestine cancer, gastric cancer and gynecological tumor, etc. For patients having received an operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, she applies the TCM syndrome differentiation-treatment to improve their immune functions and facilitate the ongoing of radiotherapy and chemotherapy; for patients in a steady period, she reduces recurrence and metastasis by reinforcing the healthy qi and eliminating the pathogenic factors with traditional Chinese medicine; for patients with advanced diseases, she combines TCM syndrome differentiation and disease differentiation to alleviate their pain, improve their life quality and prolong their survival period. During her clinical work for more than twenty years, Zhang Bei has attached great importance to the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine by adopting the strong points while overcoming the weak points so as to maximize the life quality and the survival rate of patients.
1993: Engaged in advanced studies of clinical oncology combined with traditional Chinese western medicine in Beijing;
1997-1999: Pursued an on-job postgraduate program in former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences;
2004: Attended the “Advanced Class for Persons-in-charge of National Drug Clinical Research Base” organized by China Food and Drug Administration.
