Dr. Hao-Xian Yang is currently an attending surgeon in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He specialized in surgical treatment of lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mediastinal tumors. Dr. Yang had been a research fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center between 2014-2015. His primary research interest is minimally invasive surgery of thoracic tumors, including robotic and VATS lobectomy, segmentectomy, MIE, and robotic thymectomy. As one of the pioneered thoracic surgeon in China, Dr. Yang serves as the Director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery Branch of Guangdong Association of Thoracic Oncology, Secretary-General of Thoracic Medical Doctor Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Deputy Director of Oncology Branch Youth Committee of Guangdong Medical Association, and Committee Member of Medical Robot Doctor Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association.

Interests

Minimally invasive surgery of thoracic tumors, including robotic and VATS lobectomies, segmentectomies, minimally invasive esophagectomies, and robotic thymectomies.
