Dr. Chun-Yan Chen is an Attending Doctor in the department of Radiation Oncology at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. Dr. Chen got her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Clinical Medicine and a Ph.D Degree in Oncology at Sun Yat-sen University, China in 2006 and 2013, respectively. She has been working as a Radiation Oncologist in the Cancer Center of Sun Yat-sen University since 2006, and was appointed as attending doctor in 2009. She is an expert in radiotherapy (IMRT, 3D CRT, conventional 2D RT), chemo-radiotherapy and radiotherapy combined with targeted therapy in Head and Neck cancer. Her training experience as a visiting scientist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in America has increased her understanding of radiosensitivity, DNA repair of tumor cells, tumorigenesis and tumor metastasis.
