Prof. Lin Chengguang was born in 1963, graduated from Jinan University, and currently serves as member of the standing committee of Radiation Oncology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association and person-in-charge of Radiation Oncology at the Hospital. He has been engaged in oncology radiotherapy techniques for more than 20 years. He has made many achievements within radiotherapy techniques for malignant tumors such as nasopharynx carcinoma, esophagus cancer and lung cancer. He takes the lead in quality control of radiotherapy techniques in China, thus gaining some influence within the industry. He also conducts in-depth research into the implementation of precise radiotherapy schedules, accumulating a certain amount of experiences in implementation of conformal IMRT for nasopharynx carcinoma. In 2001, he organized the National Advanced Class for Radiotherapy Technicians which received high appraisals from his peers in China. In 1999 and 2000, he sought further studies at the University of California and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University respectively to study conformal IMRT and 3DCRT. He has been devoted to training technical experts for institutions at basic level.
