Prof. Qiu Fang graduated from the Department of Medicine, former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1988. He has been a doctor in the Department of Nasopharynx Carcinoma, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since 1988. Having engaged in clinical work of nasopharynx carcinoma for over 20 years, he is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment (radiation therapy and chemotherapy) of nasopharynx carcinoma. His major published papers include: 1. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of nasopharynx; 2. Effect of combined chemotherapy of floxuridine plus cisplatin on advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma; 3. Clinical observation of the concomitant therapy of Pingxiao capsule and radiotherapy for nasopharynx carcinoma; 4. Concurrent chemoradiotherapy using oral capecitabine and carboplatin in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma; 5. Clinical research of biyanling in reducing toxicity and enhancing curative effect during nasopharyngeal carcinoma radiotherapy; 6. A discussion on the local extension approach of nasopharynx carcinoma; etc.
