After graduating from Department of Medicine, former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1987, he engaged himself in clinical work of oncology in the University, received the Doctoral Degree in Oncology in 1997 and worked and studied at the US MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2000-2002.
Prof. Lin has a wealth of experience in medical treatment for cancer, including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and biological therapy. He also has a more cutting-edge research on the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma and an in-depth understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, colorectal cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer and testicular cancer; and owns abundant experience and innovation in the targeted therapy of oncology. He has participated in the formulation of a variety of guidelines on cancer diagnosis and treatment.
He currently serves as chief expert in lymphoma at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, and Deputy Chief for Oncology of Chinese Medical Association, Member of Standing Committee of Committee of Chemotherapy, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Deputy Chief for Chinese Geriatric Oncology Society (CGOS), Member of Standing Committee of CSCO Executive Committee, Deputy Chief for Chinese Southwest Oncology Group (CSWOG), Chief for Cancer Chemotherapy Committee of Guangdong Province Anti-cancer Association, Deputy Chief for Lymphoma Committee of Guangdong Province Anti-Cancer Association, Deputy Chief for Oncology of Guangdong Medical Association, and Member of Lymphoma Committee of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association. Also, he works as a panel judge of National Natural Science Foundation of China and of The National Center for Drug Screening, Member of National Medical Malpractice Committee; and the member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO); and as deputy editor and member of editorial board of great numbers of domestic and foreign journals.
