Dr. Zhang Yanna graduated from Zhongshan medical college in 1986, and then began work at Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC), where she received special training in Gynecological Oncology since 1989. Then she served as an attending oncologist for 8 years until she accepted the position of associate professor in 2001 and professor in 2013.

Dr. Zhang specialized in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with gynecologic cancers. She also sees patients who require surgical management of complex conditions. She offers both surgical (especially minimally-invasive) and chemotherapy management to improve clinical outcomes for women with cancers of cervix, ovaries, uterus, vagina, and vulva.

Dr. Zhang has a long-standing interest in the carcinogenesis, development, and prognosis of gynecologic malignancies. She has published more than 30 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, such as Gynecologic Oncology and British Journal of Cancer. She is also involved in several international clinical research trials. Besides, she served as the Editorial Board member of several books, such as Clinical Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward Inspection Record.
