Dr. Guo Shanshan is an Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, holding a Ph.D. in Medicine. She serves as a Youth Committee Member of the Committee on Precision Therapy for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, Guangdong Provincial Clinical Medicine Association, and as a Committee Member of the Head and Neck Tumor Branch, Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Association.

Her primary research interests focus on the mechanisms of radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and comprehensive treatment strategies. She has published 11 high-level papers as first author or co-first author in internationally renowned journals, including The Lancet Oncology, Cancer Letters, and British Journal of Cancer. She has served as the principal investigator for one Young Scientist Fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has participated in three National Natural Science Foundation projects, two provincial and ministerial-level projects, and one Sun Yat-sen University 5010 project.
