After graduating with a master degree in 2004, Ms Lin remained at Sun Yat-sen University and worked in the university's Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Office. She held positions such as Deputy Director of the Supervision Office of Sun Yat-sen University, Director of the Letters and Case Management Office of the University's Discipline Inspection Commission, Director of the Review and Investigation Office of the University's Discipline Inspection Commission, Director of the Second Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office of the University's Discipline Inspection Commission and Supervision Office, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

She is now in charge of the Discipline Inspection Commission Office (Supervision Office), Communist Youth League and jointly in charge of the Party Committee Office and Audit Center of SYSUCC.
