    Prof. Zhang Bei has been engaged in clinical work on traditional Chinese and western medicine integration for tumor at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since July 1985. She is adept at treating various tumors with traditional Chinese and western medicine and studying the tongue diagnosis of malignant tumors. Especially she performs unique therapies with good curative effects for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, esophagus cancer, liver cancer, large intestine cancer, gastric cancer and gynecological tumor, etc. For patients having received an operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, she applies the TCM syndrome differentiation-treatment to improve their immune functions and facilitate the ongoing of radiotherapy and chemotherapy; for patients in a steady period, she reduces recurrence and metastasis by reinforcing the healthy qi and eliminating the pathogenic factors with traditional Chinese medicine; for patients with advanced diseases, she combines TCM syndrome differentiation and disease differentiation to alleviate their pain, improve their life quality and prolong their survival period. During her clinical work for more than twenty years, Zhang Bei has attached great importance to the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine by adopting the strong points while overcoming the weak points so as to maximize the life quality and the survival rate of patients.

    Prof. Hu Pili has engaged herself in clinical treatment of tumors combined with traditional Chinese and western medicine (tumor patients are treated with traditional Chinese medicine in combination before and after chemotherapy, radiotherapy, operation, interventional treatment and biotherapy) for 30 years. She specializes in treating breast cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, digestive system neoplasms (intestinal cancer, gastric cancer, esophagus cancer and liver cancer), lung cancer and lymphadenoma with traditional Chinese and western medicine. During the past years, she has observed the changes of tumor patients’ tongue manifestations systemically and delved into the relationship between the bluish purple tongue and the prognosis of cancer patients.

    Chen Xuxian

    Dr. Chen Xuxian has been working on the tumor treatment with traditional Chinese and western medicine in combination and the interventional treatment of liver cancer at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since 1988. With rich clinical experience, he is adept at the traditional-Chinese-medicine treatment of malignant tumors, including liver cancer, lung cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, gastrointestinal tract cancer, breast cancer and gynecological tumor.

    Xu Boping

    Prof. Xu Boping has been engaging himself in clinical treatment of malignant tumors with traditional Chinese and western medicine after graduation. He is proficient in treating a variety of malignant tumors with traditional Chinese medicine, such as liver cancer, lung cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, gastric cancer, breast cancer and large intestine cancer. He skillfully applies diverse methods of traditional Chinese medicine, including oral therapy, fumigation and steaming therapy, fog inhalation therapy, external washing, external application, coloclysis, acupressure or acupoint application, acupuncture, etc., to treat malignant tumors and all kinds of toxic and adverse reactions after operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy and always achieves good efficacy. He performs unusual methods to treat liver and kidney function damage, bone marrow depression and especially aleucocytosis & thrombocytopenia caused by chemotherapy drugs. The traditional Chinese medicine preparations he has developed can effectively cure vasculitis of chemotherapeutic drugs, cancer pain, radioactive skin injury, radiation enteritis and radioactive urethritis. The research interests of Prof. XuBoping mainly include: 1. reduction of the toxic and adverse reactions and sequelae caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy with traditional Chinese medicine; 2. traditional-Chinese-medicine treatment of middle-staged and advanced cancer which is not suitable for operations, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

    Qiu Huijuan

    Dr.Qiu Huijuan has been engaged in clinical treatment of tumors combined with traditional Chinese and western medicine for almost 20 years. She is adept at treating various tumors (especially gastrointestinal tract cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer) with operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine to reduce toxic and adverse reactions and improve the life quality of patients. In recent years she has researched on the toxic and adverse reactions (such as gastrointestinal reactions and erythra) caused by targeted drug therapy and accumulated relevant experience in traditional Chinese medicine treatment.

    1991-1996: Department of Internal Medicine in Qingyuan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangdong;

    1996-present: Clinical work on tumor treatment combined with traditional Chinese and western medicine at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center.
